Advanced MTO and partial regeneration process technology produces light olefins at lower costs and higher yields compared to traditional technologies using cost-advantaged alternative feedstocks, such as natural gas or coal via methanol.
What’s new for MTO?
MTO-600, the latest generation of UOP MTO Catalyst. As a drop-in replacement for MTO-100, MTO-600 can increase ethylene and propylene yield up to 1% and 10% capacity;while maintaining the methanol conversion rate.
UOP eFining®: Honeywell MTO technology supports production of electro-sustainable aviation fuel (eSAF) from renewable energy and captured CO₂. As an established global commodity, methanol gives fuel producers the flexibility to blend or switch between renewable and conventional supply—helping manage volatility and keep fuel output steady.
